About bentleyuser.org

Bentleyuser.org is a site originally set up in 2000 by members of The MicroStation Community in the UK to provide news, analysis and resources for the wider community of Bentley Systems engineering software users. The site is now owned and being run as an information resource by Marc Thomas.

To help the site grow we are reliant on you, the Bentley user, to suggest improvements, write articles for the site and to supply techtips and open source code for other users to download. We're always on the lookout for sources of constructive content (i.e. no sniping or corporate flaming) to enrich the bentleyuser.org experience so get in touch if you have an idea for us.

File formats:

Plain text (*.txt)

Rich Text Format (*.rtf)

Style Guidelines:

Headline: maximum limit of 24 character (around 3 words).
First Paragraph : Around 60 words
General: Please try not to fragment paragraphs i.e; paragraphs containing just one or two sentences.

Images:

Images should be submitted in JPEG or PNG formats:

Captions:

If captions are required, please indicate the appropriate place within the body text (<insert image_01.png here>) and attach a separate file detailing the file name and the appropriate caption.
For example:

Image name: image_01.png.
Caption: blah, blah blah.
