The Ninja point!

The problem with Cut and Paste is that the elements to be pasted appear hanging on the cursor at the centre of the bounding rectangle enclosing them so they always have to be moved after placement, however…
Select the element(s) you require and then tentative at the point you wish to use as the placement point.
Then select copy/cut (Ctrl + C/Ctrl + X).
When you paste, the elements will be placed by the tentative point so can be put down in the correct location first time.
Apparenetly this point is known as the Ninja point.
