Visualisation Event 2011
by bentleyuser - 23 November 2011
Location: Bentley's London Office
Date: 07 December 2011
Time: 15:00

As always Jerry Flynn, Head of Visualisation at Bentley Systems will be here to bring us up to date with the latest visualisation developments in SS3. Jerry will also demonstrate Bentley's Applied Research group's Kinect/voice control interface for MicroStation. A chance for an early look at something that may become a regular presentation or design discussion tool.

Rob Jones from JM Architects will be giving us some technique guidance and showing examples of his practice's visualisations.

Lighting with Glow Materials
If you're not particular about photometric accuracy, and just want soft lighting, glowing materials can be used as a quick and effective alternative to otherwise expensive source lighting.

Manual Photo Matching
Sometimes model geometry is incomplete or the photo has no discernible points to auto match. With a little careful rigging, the vanishing points most photos have can be used to calculate the camera position and align the photo with the model. With some unexpected advantages over the automated tool.

He will also show us a sample of JM Architects London studio’s project visualisations produced using Bentley’s implementation of the Luxology render engine.

Cobus Bothma and Robert Klaschka will give us a two-hander tips and tricks session.

Registration for this event is now closed.
